Planning periods may be used to control the entry of demand forecasts and the netting of forecasts with firm customer demand.

The Planning Period Definition option allows you to modify or review planning periods.  The planning periods first displayed reflect the current planning periods.  The dates may be entered in any sequence, and they will be resequenced when you press the Enter key.

The Planning Period Update option allows you to perform a mass update of the planning periods.  The planning periods first displayed reflect what the planning periods would look like if they were based strictly on the planning period mask.  The planning periods shown may or may not differ from your actual planning periods.  If you press the Enter key, the planning periods will be updated to reflect the dates shown on the screen.
