Planning periods may be used to control the entry of demand forecasts and the netting of forecasts with firm customer demand.
The Planning Period Definition option allows you to modify or review planning periods. The planning periods first displayed reflect the current planning periods. The dates may be entered in any sequence, and they will be resequenced when you press the Enter key.
The Planning Period Update option allows you to perform a mass update of the planning periods. The planning periods first displayed reflect what the planning periods would look like if they were based strictly on the planning period mask. The planning periods shown may or may not differ from your actual planning periods. If you press the Enter key, the planning periods will be updated to reflect the dates shown on the screen.
CALENDAR CODE
Display only. The calendar for which periods are being defined or updated.
PLANNING METHOD
Display only. This field identifies the type of planning period that you entered on the Function Select screen. Either D for Daily Master Scheduling or M for Master Scheduling appears.
PERIOD NUMBER
Display only. The period number associated with the entered date. Up to 60 periods may be defined at one time.
PERIOD DATE
Optional. The period starting date. The start date of the current week must fall within one of the defined periods.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Press Enter key once to reorganize periods in date sequence, press again to update.
F3 - Exit without update.
F10 - Display the Function Select screen without updating the period dates for this calendar code.
