This screen allows you to enter the calendar code and the planning method for the Master Scheduling period mask you wish to maintain.
A period mask defines how many weeks will be included in each of 60 user-defined planning periods.
Period masks are used in the Planning Period Update conversation to generate user-defined periods for use in Master Scheduling and Requirements Planning programs having the Calendar Periods option. The mask will be used for every plant that uses the corresponding calendar code.
CALENDAR CODE
Required. Enter the calendar code whose period mask you want to define. The period mask will be used in every plant that uses this calendar.
PLANNING METHOD
Required. Valid values are D - Daily Master Scheduling or M - Master Scheduling. You should use D to set up a period mask for use in generating user-defined planning periods for daily master scheduled, requirements planning, and service parts. You should use M to set up a period mask for use in generating user-defined planning periods for standard master scheduled parts.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Display the detail screen containing the period mask for the given calendar code.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit without update.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
