This screen is used to request the Available to Promise Report, which compares scheduled production, projected demand, and firm demand. The report assists the planner in determining the quantity available to be promised, and in identifying the next future period in which inventory will be available.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant for which the Available to Promise Report should be shown. Plant must be valid (not blanks or nines) and the user must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to the user ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
FULL REPORT OR BY PLANNER (F/P)
Required. Valid Values are:
F - Full Report. All master scheduled parts will be printed on the Available to Promise Report.
P - Selected Report by Planner. Only those master scheduled parts planned by the requested planner will be printed on the Available to Promise Report.
PLANNER CODE
Required if Report by Planner is selected. Specifies the planner that will be used to select parts to print on the Available to Promise Report.
HORIZON DATE
Required. The ending date for which information will be printed on the Available to Promise Report.
PLANNING PERIOD OPTION
Required. Specifies the periods for which availability information will be summarized and reported.
1 - Calendar Weeks
2 - Calendar Months
3 - Calendar Periods
4 - Daily Intervals
PLANNING METHOD
Required. If you request the daily planning method (option D), daily master scheduled parts will be selected. If you request the master scheduled planning method (option M), standard master scheduled parts will be selected. The value will default from Reference File category 464.
EXCEPTION ONLY
Optional. If this flag is set to Y (yes), only parts having a negative cumulative available to promise within the horizon will be printed. If this flag is set to N (no), all parts matching the selection criteria will be printed. This field will default to N.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Request the report.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit without update.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Enter the Transaction Review program to review and delete report request.
F16 - Allows the user to change the output location.
F17 - Used to change the plant in which the user is currently working.
