Purpose
The Tentative Master Schedule Report is printed by the Tentative Master Schedule Generation Program (MS170E), but only if the user specifically requests it. The report shows the quantities that should be produced weekly to meet projected demand and target inventory levels. The projected inventory level and other key quantities are printed for comparison purposes. Time fences and any other warning messages are also printed.
Other relevant quantities are shown for comparison against the newly calculated tentative master schedule. The report is organized to reflect the planning period option the user selected.
The report also prints the consumption code. This code will cause the MS and RP planning programs to "net" or "consume" against the forecast either only certain types of demand or all types of demand for the part.
