JIT Planning Action Messages

Three action messages are generated on the Master Scheduling Action Report.

·     An increase quantity message is produced for weeks (primarily within the firm time fence) when the scheduled production quantities do not cover the weekly tentative schedule quantity.

·     A decrease quantity message is produced when the weekly tentative schedule quantity is less than the weekly firm production schedule.  This message is also produced when the weekly tentative schedule quantity is less than the average production quantity.  The average production quantity is determined by dividing the needed number of components by the number of days in a week and rounding that quantity up.

·     A cancel message is generated when the weekly tentative schedule quantity is zero and the firm production schedule for that week is nonzero.
