Exhibit C: Tentative Schedule/Current Schedule/Projected Inventory
The Master Schedule Rollover implements the tentative schedule by comparing the tentative and current schedules, then altering the current schedule to match the tentative. Since activity may occur between the time that the tentative schedule is generated and the comparison is made, care must be taken to avoid a timing problem.
The two examples below are provided to illustrate the timing issue, and to clarify the calculations used to derive the tentative schedule, the current schedule, and projected inventory. Note that the examples pertain to standard master scheduled parts only. The examples represent two possible approaches to the calculations. The second approach has been used in the Master Scheduling module.
