Procedures

 

1.   Display the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select Screen.

a    From the System Application Menu, select the Bill of Documents option.

b.   Select the Document Structure file maintenance option.

The Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen (BD120S01) is displayed.

2.   Add Document Structure File Records.

Maintenance will be done in the displayed plant.  Plant may be changed using F17.

a.   On the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen, type the part number, operation number, and document number for the new record.

b.   Type 1 (Add) in the Maintenance Code field.

c.   Press ENTER.

If all fields are valid, the Document Structure Maintenance Detail screen (BD120S02) is displayed.

d.   Type the detail data for the new plant/part/operation/document combination and press the ENTER key.

If all fields are valid, the Function Select screen is redisplayed without the Maintenance Code field.  This allows you to continue adding records.

e.   If more records need to be added at this time, type the next part number, operation, and document and press ENTER.  Maintenance will be done in the displayed plant.

f.    Repeat steps d. and e. until all new records have been added.

g.   If other maintenance transactions need to be entered, press F10 to display the Function Select screen with the Maintenance Code field.

h.   If no additional maintenance is required, press F3 to end the conversation.

3.   Change Document Structure File Records.

Maintenance will be done in the displayed plant.  Plant may be changed using F17.

a.   On the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen, type the part number, operation number, and document number for the record to be changed.

b.   Type 2 (Change) in the Maintenance Code field.

c.   Press ENTER.

If all fields are valid, the Document Structure Maintenance Detail screen (BD120S02) is displayed.

d.   Change the detail data for the record and press the ENTER key.

If all fields are valid, the Function Select screen is redisplayed without the Maintenance Code field.  This allows you to continue changing records.

e.   If more records need to be changed at this time, type the next part number, operation, and document and press ENTER.  Maintenance will be done in the displayed plant.

f.    Repeat steps d. and e. until all records have been changed.

g.   If other maintenance transactions need to be entered, press F10 to display the Function Select screen with the Maintenance Code field. 

h.   If no additional maintenance is required, press F3 to end the conversation.

4.   Delete Document Structure File Records.

Maintenance will be done in the displayed plant.  Plant may be changed using F17.

a.   On the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen, type the part number, operation number, and document number for the record to be deleted.

b.   Type 3 (Delete) in the Maintenance Code field.

c.   Press ENTER.

If the record exists, the Document Structure Maintenance Detail screen (BD120S02) is displayed.

d.   Confirm that you wish to delete the record by pressing the ENTER key.  To escape without deleting the record, press F3 to exit or press F10 to return to the Function Select screen.

After the record is deleted, the Function Select screen is redisplayed without the Maintenance Code field.  This allows you to continue deleting records.

e.   If more records need to be deleted at this time, type the next part number, operation, and document and press ENTER.  Maintenance will be done in the displayed plant.

f.    Repeat steps d. and e. until all the records have been deleted.

g.   If other maintenance transactions need to be entered, press F10 to display the Function Select screen with the Maintenance Code field. 

h.   If no additional maintenance is required, press F3 to end the conversation.

5.   Enter Mass Replacement for a Document Transactions.

a.   On the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen, type the original document number.

b.   Type 4 (Mass Replacement for a Document) in the Maintenance Code field.

c.   Press ENTER.

If the document exists and has a document structure record, the Document Structure Maintenance Mass Update screen (BD120S03) is displayed, prompting you to enter the new document number.

d.   Type the new document number and press ENTER.

The Function Select screen is redisplayed without the Maintenance Code field, allowing you to continue entering mass replacement transactions.

e.   Enter the next document number to be replaced and press ENTER.

f.    Repeat steps d. and e. until all mass replacement transactions have been entered.

g.   If other maintenance transactions need to be entered, press F10 to display the Function Select screen with the Maintenance Code field. 

h.   If no additional maintenance is required, press F3 to end the conversation.

6.   Enter Mass Change for a Document Transactions.

a.   On the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen, type the document number for which information should be changed.

b.   Type 5 (Mass Change for a Document) in the Maintenance Code field.

c.   Press ENTER.

If the document exists and has a document structure record, the Document Structure Maintenance Mass Update screen (BD120S03) will be displayed.

d.   Type the new detail information and press ENTER.

The Function Select screen will be redisplayed without the Maintenance Code field, allowing you to continue entering mass change transactions.

e.   Type the next document number whose information is to be changed and press ENTER.

f.    Repeat steps d. and e. until all mass change transactions have been entered.

g.   If other maintenance transactions need to be entered, press F10 to display the Function Select screen with the Maintenance Code field. 

h.   If no additional maintenance is required, press F3 to end the conversation.

7.   Enter Mass Deletion for a Document Transactions.

a.   On the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen, type the document number whose document structure records are to be deleted.

b.   Type 6 (Mass Deletion for a Document) in the Maintenance Code field.

c.   Press ENTER.

If the document exists and has a document structure record, the Document Structure Maintenance Mass Update screen (BD120S03) will be displayed.

d.   Press ENTER to confirm that all records for this document are to be deleted.  To exit without deleting the records, press F3 to exit or press F10 to return to the Function Select screen.

If ENTER is pressed, the Function Select screen will be redisplayed without the Maintenance Code field, allowing you to continue entering mass deletion transactions for a document.

e.   Type the next document number whose records are to be deleted and press ENTER.

f.    Repeat steps d. and e. until all mass deletion for a document transactions have been entered.

g.   If other maintenance transactions need to be entered, press F10 to display the Function Select screen with the Maintenance Code field. 

h.   If no additional maintenance is required, press F3 to end the conversation.

8.   Enter Mass Deletion for a Part Transactions.

a.   On the Document Structure Maintenance Function Select screen, type the part number in the chosen plant whose document structure records are to be deleted.

b.   Type 7 (Mass Deletion for a Part) as the Maintenance Code.

c.   Press ENTER.

If the part exists and has a document structure record, the Document Structure Maintenance Mass Update screen (BD120S02) will be displayed.

d.   Press ENTER to confirm that all records for this plant/part are to be deleted.  To exit without deleting the records, press F3 to exit or press F10 to return to the Function Select screen.

If ENTER is pressed, the Function Select screen will be redisplayed without the Maintenance Code field, allowing you to continue entering mass deletion transactions for a part.  Maintenance will be done in the displayed plant.

e.   Type the next part number whose records are to be deleted and press ENTER.

f.    Repeat steps d. and e. until all mass deletion for a part transactions have been entered.

g.   If other maintenance transactions need to be entered, press F10 to display the Function Select screen with the Maintenance Code field. 

h.   If no additional maintenance is required, press F3 to end the conversation.
