Document Structure Maintenance
The Document Structure File defines the relationships among plants, parts, operations, and documents. It contains one record for each plant/part/operation/document combination. To update or review the Document Structure File, perform the procedures listed below. Document Structure File records can be added, changed, and deleted. In addition, the following mass update transactions are available:
· Mass Replacement for a Document. Replaces one document number with another on every document structure record in a single plant. The detail data remains the same.
· Mass Change for a Document. Changes detail data on every document structure record of a single plant for a document.
· Mass Deletion for a Document. Deletes all document structure records of a single plant for a document.
· Mass Deletion for a Part. Deletes all document structure records for a part in a single plant.
Additional information relevant to the procedures for this conversation should be reviewed before selecting this function for the first time. Refer to the appropriate sections of the user manual for the menu, screen, and command key descriptions.
Note: A maintenance transaction is posted when the ENTER key is pressed from the detail screen. To exit from any detail screen without posting the transaction, press F3 (Exit). Pressing F3 returns you to the Bill of Documents Application Menu. Pressing F10 also serves as an exit from the detail screen, but F10 exits you back to the select screen, where a new transaction can be posted.
