This screen displays a list of the valid journals that meet the selection criteria entered on the previous search screen. Any journal displayed may be selected with an 'X', and the detail transactions comprising the journal will be displayed.
COMPANY/LOCATION
Display only. The company/location on whose books the journals has been or will be posted to.
REPORTING CLASS
Display only if management accounts are used. Displays the management reporting class assigned to the journal. Only transactions of this reporting class can be made to the journal. Valid values are:
C - Common
F - Fiscal
M - Management This field is only displayed if the Use Management Accounts flag on Reference File category 133 is set to yes (Y).
ROLL
Optional. The number of new screen lines to be displayed when the Roll Up or Roll Down key is pressed. Because 12 journals can be listed on the screen at a time, the default value is 12. However, any number greater than zero can be entered.
SELECT
Optional. This field is used to select a specific journal to display its detail transactions. Enter an 'X' to select a journal. More than one journal may be selected at a time.
PERIOD
Display only. The fiscal period of the journal.
YEAR
Display only. The fiscal year of the journal.
JOURNAL NUMBER
Display only. This field displays the journal number.
DATE
Display only. This field shows the date of the journal.
ACTUAL AMOUNT
Display only. This field displays the total amount of the financial transactions in the journal. In a multi-currency environment, this amount is in the base currency of the company/location. The foreign currency amounts can be displayed by pressing F19.
ACTUAL QUANTITY
Display only. This field displays the total quantity of all statistical transactions in the journal for this period.
JOURNAL TYPE
Display only. This field identifies the origin of the journal. Journal types include:
A - Allocation journal
C - Accounts Receivable journal
I - Intercompany journal
J - Adjustment journal
M - Manual or recurring journal
P - Accounts Payable journal
R - Journal reversed by system processing
S - Standing journal
V - Revaluation journal
X - Other subsystem journal
JOURNAL STATUS
Display only. This field is used to determine whether the journal has been posted to the Account/Center Master File. Valid status codes are:
N - Journal has not been previously posted
O - Journal is currently being used by someone else
P - Journal has been previously posted
CURRENCY CODE
Display only. This field displays the currency of the actual amounts displayed. In the initial display, the base currency of company/location will be displayed. Intercompany journals displayed in this mode may have *** displayed in the currency code field, to indicate that different receiving company/locations within the journal may have different base currencies. When the command key to display the foreign currency amounts is used, the list of journals may include some cross-currency journals, which will be indicated with a 999 in the currency code.
COMMAND KEYS
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3-Exit will remove it.
F3 - Exit the program and return to the menu.
F7 - Used to display the Journal Inquiry Range Selection screen.
F19 - Used to switch the actual amounts displayed from base currency to foreign currency. This option is only available when the actual amounts are shown in base currency.
