The History Maintenance Request screen is used to initiate one of the following processes: purge the Cumulative Transaction File for a specific year and location, purge the History Master File of accounts for a specific year and location, copy Account/Center Master File records to the History Master File, delete Account/Center Master File records for a specific year and location, purge a specific account record within a location.
COMPANY/LOCATION
Required. The company/location field identifies the reporting entity for which history maintenance is to be performed. The combination entity must exist on the Reference File.
DELETE POSTED JOURNALS FOR YEAR
Optional. This field is used to request the fiscal year for which journals and journal transactions should be purged from the system.
REMOVE MASTER FILE HISTORY FOR YEAR
Optional. This field is used to request the removal of History Master File records for the entered year.
COPY MASTER FILE TO HISTORY
Optional. This field is used to request the copy of Account/Center Master File records to the History Master File for the entered year. The entered year cannot be greater than the current year.
DELETE MASTER FILE FOR YEAR
Optional. This field is used to request the removal of Account/Center Master File records for the entered year.
DELETE ACCOUNT/CENTER
Optional. This field is used to initiate the deletion of a specific Account/Center Master File record. This record will be deleted if no transactions to the requested account/center exist on the system. Both the Account/Center must be entered and currently exist on the Account/Center Master File.
SUBMIT CODE
Required. The submit flag specifies whether a report should be submitted for later execution or whether the report should be generated immediately. Immediate processing is usually reserved for low volume request because the terminal used to request the processing will not be available until the processing is completed. Valid values are:
Y - Submit processing request for later batch execution;
N - Perform processing immediately.
COMMAND KEYS
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to the menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
