The Financial Statement Title File Search screen is used to change, delete, and review heading and line description records. If selection criteria is entered, direct access to the requested record can be achieved. If partial information is entered, the search will be used to position the search at the first record in the proximity of the search criteria entered. If no selection criteria is entered (all fields left blank), the first sequentially accessed record will be displayed.
REPORT GROUP
Optional. If entered, this field is used to identify the group of locations for which a financial statement has been created. Valid groups are entered on the Reference File.
COMPANY
Optional. If entered, this field (together with the location field) identifies the reporting entity for which a financial statement has been created. Valid company/ locations are defined on Reference File category 002.
LOCATION
Optional. If entered, this field (together with the company field) identifies the reporting entity for which a financial statement has been created. Valid company/ locations are defined on Reference File category 002.
CENTER
Optional. Financial Statements may be prepared only for a given center. The center level in the organizational structure may be used for sales locations, operational departments, or other areas for which an Income Statement is desired. If entered, a specific line description record can be accessed for the entered center.
REPORT TYPE
Optional. The report type field defines the type of report that has been created. If entered, this field is used in order to directly access a line description or heading record. No validation is performed on this field when searching because it is only used as additional selection criteria.
STATEMENT CODE
Optional. The statement code is used as a sequential line reference for each Financial Statement line. If entered, this field is used as additional selection criteria when accessing a line description record.
REPORTING CLASS
Optional if management accounts are used. You may enter a reporting class to be used as selection criteria for the financial statement title search. Valid values are:
C - Common
F - Fiscal
M - Management This field is only displayed if the Use Management Accounts flag is set to yes (Y) on Reference File category 133.
SEQUENCE NUMBER
Optional. If several report lines contain the same statement code, different sequence numbers must be assigned to each line. Sequence numbers identify the order in which each line within a single statement code will be printed. If entered, this field is used as additional selection criteria when accessing a line description record.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Display the Financial Statement Title Heading screen for the selected report.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3-Exit will remove it.
F3 - Exit the program and return to the menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F7 - Display a blank Financial Statement Title Heading screen in enter mode.
F8 - Display a blank Financial Statement Line Description screen in enter mode.
F19 - Display the Mass Maintenance screen, which allows you to duplicate title file records or change a report number.
