Group

The group code is used to combine one or more locations for the preparation of region or line-of-business reports (see the following figure).  Locations are assigned to groups by the Group Table (category 116) record on the Reference File.  One or more locations can be assigned to one group.  A location can also be part of many groups.

Separate balance sheets and income statements can be prepared for each group.
