Customer KANBAN

The Synchro Customer KANBAN feature complements Synchro's shipping functionality by allowing shipments of the same part to be made multiple times per day.  Like Synchro, Customer KANBAN orders can be entered manually or via electronic data interchange (EDI) transmissions from your customers.

Weekly delivery schedules are sent by customers in the form of DELINS messages.  These are used by Synchro to drive your company's planning, manufacturing, and purchasing functions, however shipping proposals are not generated.  Delivery requests can be made multiple time per day in the ODETTE standard KANBAN and PLUQUO messages.  These messages are received as Customer KANBAN orders that are then used to generate shipping proposals.  Customer KANBAN does not currently support ANSI or VDA standards for multi-daily orders.

Customer KANBAN provides an order maintenance workbench that allows you to enter and process Customer KANBAN orders, as well as control the shipping of those orders and the printing of the necessary pickers, shipping lists, and labels.

While Customer KANBAN actually processes the orders and shipments, Synchro still produces provisional delivery requests and converts them into offset releases.  These offset releases are used only by the Requirements Planning and Master Scheduling modules for planning and are not used to drive order preparation or shipments.
