Automatic Job Numbering

Reference File category D49 determines whether or not automatic job numbering is used.  When automatic numbering is used, a new job is given the same number as its associated sales order.  If the job is associated with a sales order line (or several lines), the job number is the sales order number followed by the line number of the first line associated with the sales order.  When you are setting up jobs, you can enter your own job number to override automatic numbering.

The automatic job numbering flag can be changed at any time.
