Non-Syntax Expression
Text type expressions and screen detail are not interpreted by the Expert Configurator.
Text type expressions are composed of alphanumeric text which you enter. Error messages and comments are examples of text type expressions.
Screen detail expressions define user-defined option select screens. This information is defined only for screen generation rules. The following non-syntax data is defined for screen detail expressions:
· Sequence Number - The order the options will appear on the screen.
· Option Name - The name of the option.
· Option Name Screen Field Heading - The name to appear on the option select screen.
· Print Code - Used to determine the documents where sales order options will be printed. Valid values are defined on Reference File category Y33.
· Option Length - The number of characters in the option field.
· Option Decimal Precision - The number of decimal positions for numeric options
· Option Attribute - Whether the entered data will be numeric or alphanumeric
· Default Value - Any valid default value. This field is optional.
· Reference File category - The category to validate entry against. (Optional)
· Option Type- Specifies the entry responsibility. Possible values are:
1. MANDATORY. You must enter a value.
2. REQUIRED YES/NO. You must enter either the value Y or N.
3. OPTIONAL. You are not required to enter a value for the option.
