Automated Price and Cost Generation
The Price Generator in BuyDesign Configurator uses the pricing rules contained in BuyDesign product models along with easily maintained pricing tables to dynamically calculate product price and/or cost based on the selected product options, sales channel, customer, and other factors.
- “As configured” prices are calculated using:
- Base price from pricelist(s) in host application (e.g. BuyDesign Channel Sales) or table
- Base price adjustments for selected options
- Promotion & incentive adjustments using external applications or tables
- Highly flexible calculations can produce:
- List price
- Discounted price
- Dealer price based on
- Multipliers (e.g. discount)
- Margins
- Markups
- Custom price/cost views
- Calculation tools include:
- Conditional adders and subtractors
- Formulas and expressions
- External table or logic access (e.g. from an existing application)
