BuyDesign Build-Your-Own: an intuitive self-service end-customer product configurator for your public website
BuyDesign® Build-Your-Own enables you to add an intuitive, highly visual product configurator to your existing web site as a tool to generate end-customer interest and create product preference. After guiding the customer to select, configure, and visualize a product that meets their needs, it helps them find the right sales channel and request a quote. The result is a well-identified sales lead that includes customer and configuration information to speed the final sale.
BuyDesign Build-Your-Own is a complete self-service application that uses a simplified product catalog combined with the capabilities of BuyDesign Configurator and BuyDesign FlexRender or BuyDesign Flex2D to provide customers with the ability to:
- See and select different product features, options, and combinations
- Visualize their configured product with photo-realistic images or dimensionally correct drawings.
- Price their design ( MSRP)
- Save and retrieve their configured products ("MyDesign")
- Find a dealer based on location or other criteria.
- Submit a request for quote that is directed to the appropriate dealer or other sales representative (or alternatively print their design to take to their local dealer)
Ideal for highly visual or dimensional products
BuyDesign Build-Your-Own is designed to engage end-customers or trade professionals in their initial exploration of your products. It is ideal for products where the end-customer is interested in seeing a highly visual rendering or a dimensionally accurate drawing based on selected options before deciding to request a quote or talk with a dealer.
- For products with many optional colors, fabrics, wood grains, patterns, or lettering, BuyDesign Build-Your-Own uses BuyDesign FlexRender to dynamically produce photo-realistic images based on selected options. This is ideal for products such as furniture, window treatments, custom apparel, recreational boats, and many others.
- For products with variable dimensions, BuyDesign Build-Your-Own uses BuyDesign Flex2D to dynamically produce dimensionally correct drawings to verify form, fit, and function. This is ideal for products such as cabinets and other storage products, windows and doors, and various types of industrial components.
