Senior Software Engineer – Quality Assurance
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Performs complex testing and leadership tasks on complex projects.
- Plans, schedules and implements testing projects.
- Defines test objectives.
- Writes test cases.
- Assists other analysts with approach and technical issues.
- Performs complex functional, application, regression and performance tests.
- Assists product developers and technical product support specialists in solution of complex installation problems.
- Plans and implements automated testing.
- Researches and develops an understanding of the marketing requirements for the product, including how the product is actually used and what its performance requirements are.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science. Typically requires five plus years of technical experience in software product testing.
Excellent understanding of manual and automated software testing. Proficient in testing products according to company's QA process, able to train other analysts in procedures. Understands entire software development life cycle, including design, programming and documentation. Familiar with relevant business issues as they impact overall project plans. Excellent communication skills.
Senior Software Engineer – Development
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Performs complex product design activities which may require extensive research and analysis.
- Performs design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub-systems.
- Participates in product design meetings.
- Performs complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
- Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions to the problem.s
- Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
- May assist in performing on-site client work on complex applications.
- In absence of product architects, may serve as a product architect:
- Design and implementation in order to meet project objectives.
- Documentation of development work.
- Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
- Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science; advanced degree desirable Typically requires six to nine years of technical experience in software design and product support.
Excellent technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation. Excellent analytical and design skills at multiple product level. Excellent skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation. Excellent understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance. Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Advanced PC skills Familiar with CASE tools products.
Sr. Customer Support Analyst
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Customer Support Center
- Receive and document incoming issues from customers or TDCI’s implementation consultants
- Help callers define problem or question, to include directly accessing the customer’s environment as required in troubleshooting
- Research, test and resolve problem or question
- Work with third-party solution providers to resolve problems on an as needed basis
- Provide solution and/or answer to the customer or consultant
- Prepare documentation (System Investigation Requests, Call logs, Knowledge-based articles, case notes, etc.)
- Identify and communicate business development opportunities
- Perform Software Quality Assessments, system and integration testing
- Create quality test plans
- Coordinate and facilitate installation and integration testing of release builds
- Coordinate and facilitate testing. Ensuring an orderly incorporation of feedback to the development team
- Support software development in bug fix and functionality design and testing
- Identify technical issues for consideration in meeting functional requirements
- Write user documentation
- Plan, write and provide user training, as required
- Other related-duties
- Develop specifications for enhancements.
- Participate in User Group meetings and working sessions
- Conduct training sessions for customers on site or at the TDCI corporate offices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: : Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field. 5 years minimum of overall Customer support and/or help desk experience within a commercial software environment. Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the discipline.
Sr. Software Engineer (Integration Specialist)
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate skills in architecting SOA based integration solutions for commercial enterprise software solutions such as Oracle EBS Suite, and other ERP/CRM applications.
- Ability to estimate task and workload to achieve deliverables and goals, delivering on time and on estimation.
- Interacts regularly with Product Management product owners, Application Developers, Architects, Solution Delivery Consultants, Customer Support, Clients and Partners.
- Development related to Oracle EBS Suite V12 or later, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, HTML, SOA, Fusion, application adapters, message structures, common object models, and templates.
- Development of and adherence to integration standards.
- Assist in definition, design, and management of Enterprise Architecture components and low-level technical Architecture design documents.
- Help in creating and implementing a SOA based architecture.
- Gather functional requirements from internal and external resources to determine integration solution. Translate business and user requirements into accurate system requirements specification documents through systems and data analysis.
- Lead requirement gathering sessions and design sessions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in integration patterns, best practices and implementing SOA concepts leveraging Oracle SOA and Fusion. Minimum 5 years of experience designing and supporting complex multi-tiered applications. Working knowledge of UML, SQL, JMS, SOAP/WSDL. Previous Manufacturing industry experience a plus. Application Development background preferred. This is a technically focused position and generally seen as a progression from a development role.
