The Transaction Codes category is used by Vertex when calculating US taxes for domestic customers.
This Reference File category is only used with the Vertex tax calculation package.
TRANSACTION TYPE
Required. Enter in a one character transaction code to be added, changed, deleted, or inquired upon.

This screen is used to define valid transaction codes for Vertex, which are used in calculating taxes.
DESCRIPTION
Required. Enter a valid transaction code. Some possible values include the following:
N - normal processing
C - tax only credit
B - tax only debit
A - adjustment processing
X - distribute tax
R - distribute user rate
