The Transaction Subtypes for Vertex category is used by Vertex when calculating US taxes for domestic customers.
This Reference File category is only used with the Vertex tax calculation package.
TRANSACTION TYPE
Required. Enter up to a three-character transaction type to be added, changed, deleted, or inquired upon.

This screen is used to define valid transaction subtypes for Vertex, which are used in conjunction with transaction types in calculating taxes.
DESCRIPTION
Required. Enter a valid transaction type. Some possible values include the following:
P - property transaction
F - freight transaction
L - lease transaction
S - service transaction
R - rental/lease transaction
M - miscellaneous
