Required. Enter the unit code for the packaging codes.

This screen allows you to maintain the Packaging Codes.

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE PACKAGING CODE

Optional. Enter a short text description of the packaging code.

LONG DESCRIPTION OF THE PACKAGING CODE

Optional. Enter a long text description of the packaging code.

WEIGHT

Optional. Enter the packaging weight. If entered, the weight must be numeric with three decimals. The system considers the packaging weight when calculating the gross weight specified on the label and the shipping list (see Key Concepts in the appropriate manual).

VOLUME

For future use. This field is not used at this time.

CONTAINER

Required. Enter Y or N as follows:

Y - This type of packaging is a container and the system retrieves the weight from the Container Master File for the gross weight calculation.

N - This type of packaging is not a container, so the system uses the weight entered in the weight field on this screen for the gross weight calculation
