The variable codes category defines valid variable codes used in the Expert Configurator module. The Expert Configurator handles seven types of variables. See the Expert Configurator User Manual, Key Concepts Section, Variables for more information.

This screen allows you to define a variable code and description. The international variable code is not user defined, it is a constant value.
VARIABLE CODE VALUE
Displays the variable code entered on the select screen.
VARIABLE CODE DESCRIPTION
Required. Enter the user-defined description of the variable code.
INTERNATIONAL VARIABLE CODE
Required. This is the internal representation to the system for the variable code. The international variable code is constant: a specific code will always represent a specific variable action. The variable code value and description may be changed to accommodate the user. Valid values are:
1 - Internal MAC-PAC Variable
2 - Multiple Options Table
3 - Option Variable
4 - External Program Variable
5 - Secondary Variable
6 - Validation Table Variable
7 - Matrix Variable
8 - Global Variable
