An offset will occur when the best dock date for Purchase Order Release Line coincides with a day, or week, or exception dates when the deliveries cannot be made. The delivery date (dock date) is then "offset" to a prior day when deliveries are permitted.
This category defines the offset limit information that will be used in the allocation process when determining the best dock date. If these limits are exceeded, a warning message will be generated.
Offset limits are defined by company/warehouse.
This is a required category if the Repetitive Supply module is installed.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE CODE
Required. Enter the company/warehouse for which you want to define offset limits.

MAXIMUM OFFSET DAYS AUTHORIZED
Required. Enter the maximum number of days that the best dock date may be offset due to delivery rules defined on the endorsement and/or exception dates defined on Reference File category G55. In this case, the best dock date calculated is used (regardless of whether it is an exception date or valid delivery date) and a warning message is generated.
OFFSET WITH WARNING
Required. The number that you enter in this field will cause a warning message to be generated on the Release Generation Error Report (RS530A). The warning message indicates that the dock date has been offset by more than the warning limit.
