ACTUAL DEMAND WINDOW
Required. Used to specify the number of days from the current date for which: 1. Forecasts should not be considered a source of demand for the Requirements Planning generation. 2. Forecasts should not be considered a source of demand for service parts when the key facility load inquiry and reports are created.
This field can have either a positive or negative “sign” (+ or -) attached to it which allows the user to define whether days should be added to or subtracted from the current date in order to determine the demand horizon date for all parts that are not consumed. Daily MS parts use the daily MS demand fence on Reference File category 464, and standard MS parts use the standard MS demand fence, also on Reference File category 464. For all parts that are consumed (other than MS parts), the Daily Demand Fence on category 464 is used as the demand horizon.
All projected demand which is not EDI/Future 3 demand (using Reference File category D26), up to and including the demand horizon date, will be ignored by the MS and RP planning which do use Reference File category D85. Thus, if the demand window on Reference File category D85 is set to 000, the value of the “sign” (+ or -) is irrelevant. Because all non-EDI demand will be ignored on today’s date., any user wishing to always account for non-EDI demand on today’s date should set the value to 001 with a “-” (negative) sign.
FAMILY TO BE EXCLUDED (1-5)
Optional. If a family is entered, it must exist on Reference File category 423. All parts that belong to this family will be excluded during the requirements planning generation.
