When running Requirements Planning Generation, this optional category allows you to specify whether an order exception condition for a part should force the part’s net change flag to remain with a status of replan (net change flag = 2) or reanalyze (net change flag = 1) instead of being reset to zero.
If a part’s net change flag is set to 1 (reanalyze), some type of inventory activity has occurred that requires MAC-PAC to review the part and to have its schedule adjusted according to demand. Planned orders will be deleted only if the demand no longer exists.
If a part’s net change flag is set to 2 (replan), MAC-PAC will delete all planned orders and readd them if necessary.
If a part’s net change flag is set to zero, the part is ignored by Requirements Planning Generation in net change mode because no activity took place against the part.
This category is keyed by plant and lists the exception messages given by Requirements Planning Generation. You may select which exception messages should prevent a part’s net change flag from being reset to zero.
This category minimizes the possibility of planners overlooking parts that have exception messages requiring action. By not resetting the net change flag, parts will continue to appear on planning action reports in net change mode until all necessary exceptions are processed.
PLANT
Required. Must be a valid plant defined on the Plant/Warehouse Description File.
