The Retained Earnings category defines the account/ centers to which the company's profit or loss is assigned.
COMPANY
Required. The company must exist on the Reference File category 002 (Entity Name).
LOCATION
Required. The company/location combination must exist on the Reference File category 002 (Entity Name).

The Retained Earnings Account Detail screen allows you define the accounts to be used for year-to-date (YTD) and inception-to-date (ITD) retained earnings. If management accounts are used, you must also define accounts for management YTD and ITD retained earnings.
The header portion of this screen contains the name of the category, and the key to the category that you entered on the function select screen.
YEAR-TO-DATE RETAINED EARNINGS ACCOUNT/CENTER
Required. The account/center combination must exist on the General Ledger Account Master File.
INCEPTION-TO-DATE RETAINED EARNINGS ACCOUNT/CENTER
Required. The account/center combination must exist on the General Ledger Account Master File.
MANAGEMENT YEAR-TO-DATE RETAINED EARNINGS ACCOUNT CENTER
Required and enterable if Management Accounting is used. You may specify the account to be used for management year-to-date retained earnings.
MANAGEMENT ITD RETAINED EARNINGS ACCOUNT CENTER
Required and enterable if Management Accounting is used. You may specify the account to be used for management inception-to-date retained earnings.
