Release natures specify the customer's level of commitment regarding an order. This category allows you to define the different release natures that will be used in the Synchro and Repetitive Supply modules.
Release natures are taken into account during the lock/forward process for expired shipping proposals. See the Synchro User Manual for more information about the lock/forward process and how the delivery request natures affect the processing.
Valid values are:
0 - Immediate Release The Delivery Request is considered confirmed and cannot be modified, but if the Authorization to Modify Firm Demand Flag is set to yes in Reference File category G31, you can overwrite the quantity.
This release can have the same start delivery date as the first Confirmed Release. If the start delivery dates are the same, the system adds the Immediate Release to the Confirmed Release and proposes both at the same time. If the start delivery dates are not the same, the system proposes the Immediate and Confirmed Release separately.
Please note the following about Immediate Release:
o You can open only one Immediate Release per link Item/Delivery Point.
o The Immediate Release must be the first release processed.
o The Immediate Release can have the same start delivery date as the first Confirmed Release.
1 - Confirmed release
The delivery request release is confirmed and cannot be modified. This release will be proposed for shipment.
2 - Planned release
Manufacturing authorization: the request is planned and can still be modified (increased or decreased). The manufacturing process can be started.
3 - Planned release
Authorization to supply: the request is planned and can still be modified (increased or decreased). The supplying process can begin.
4 - Planned release
Trend: no particular commitment.
The nature of a release has to be associated to all releases in automatic acquisition through the DELINS messages or in manual maintenance of the delivery requests.
This is a required category if the Synchro or Repetitive Supply modules are installed in your system.
