This category is used in the Client/Server modules. This category contains a list of the Reference File categories that are required by Configuration Maintenance. Use this category to add or delete Reference File categories from the list. Following are the required Reference File categories.
Y01 - The variable codes category defines valid variable codes used in the Configuration Maintenance module. Configuration Maintenance handles seven types of variables.
Y02 - The operand codes category defines valid operands used in the Configuration Maintenance module. Operands perform the actions in rule syntax expression.
Y03 - The action codes category defines valid action codes for rule types used in the Configuration Maintenance module. Each of the rules used in the Configuration Maintenance module is assigned a user defined action code. This action code is used in rule maintenance, inquiry, and reporting.
Y33 - The expert configurator option print codes category contains user-defined codes that may be entered on the Screen Rule Detail screen to define reports on which sales order options will be printed.
428 - The workstation assignment category contains various defaulting fields for each user. This is not a required category. If a user does not have a record in this category, he or she will be responsible to enter the plant, company, warehouse, and location whenever these fields are required.
REFERENCE FILE CATEGORY
Required. This field contains the three-digit code that corresponds to one of the above Reference File categories. Enter a 'Y01' for the Variables Codes category, 'Y02' for the Operands Codes category, 'Y03' for the Action Codes category, 'Y33' for the Expert Configurator Option Print Codes category, and '428' for the Workstation Assignment category.
