The Receiving Type Codes category defines all valid receiving types for the system. Each receiving type is defined by whether or not a physical count is required, whether quality control will be performed, and if quality control will be performed, whether a special quality control stock location will be used.
The system uses these flags to determine the quantity and quality control status to assign. They also determine if goods must be received into the quality control location. This is a required category if Purchasing is installed.
