This category allows you to establish and maintain the sales order fields used on pricing/discounting templates. There are 18 system-defined and 4 user-defined template fields that can be associated with specific sales order fields.

Furthermore, each template field has an associated sequence number that determines its processing hierarchy within the list of template fields. To define a template field, you must associate a sales order field with each sequence code of a template.

Note: A default list of template field/sales order field associations is provided.

TEMPLATE SEQUENCE CODE

Required. Indicates the sequence code of the template you wish to maintain.

This screen allows you to maintain information associated with the template sequence code you entered on the Function Select screen. The data defaults are supplied with MAC-PAC; however, they can be overridden to support your processing requirements.

On this screen, you may define a sales order field to be included as a template field processed. You may also define validation references for each field value.

TEMPLATE FIELD DESCRIPTION

Required. Indicates the name of the field associated with the template sequence code. This field will appear in the Pricing/Discount Template Relationship Maintenance conversation to provide a selection criteria basis on which price lists and/or discounts can be applied.

VALID VALUES PROGRAM

Optional. Indicates the valid values program used to validate the template field. It is used to make the key field in the Pricing/Discount Template Relationship conversation promptable. If entered, this field must contain a valid Valid Values program.

REFERENCE FILE CATEGORY

Optional. Indicates the Reference File category used to validate the template field. It is used to make the key field in the Pricing/Discount Template Relationship conversation promptable. If entered, this field must contain a valid Reference File category.

VALID VALUES MODE

Optional. Indicates the mode of the valid values program. Valid values modes are used when formatting the data structures passed to valid values programs.

HEADER/LINE INDICATOR

Required. Indicates whether the template field is at the order header or line level.
