This category allows you to maintain processing parameters for a pricing or discounting template code. Template codes are used to establish pricing and/or discounting structures that can be applied to sales orders.

Note: To maintain the actual prices/discounts associated with this template, use the Template Maintenance conversation from the Pricing/Discounting menu.

TEMPLATE CODE

Required. Indicates the template code that you want to maintain. Note that you cannot delete template codes if they are currently active in the system.

This screen allows you to define processing parameters for the template code entered on the Function Select screen. These parameters will determine how the template can be used to apply prices/discounts to sales orders.

Note: To maintain the actual prices/discounts associated with this template, use the Template Maintenance conversation. To maintain the sales order fields associated with the codes listed below, use Reference File category G85.

TEMPLATE TYPE

Required. Indicates the type of template. Valid values are:

P - Pricing template

H - Header discount template

L - Line discount template

V - Volume discount template

TEMPLATE DESCRIPTION

Required. Indicates the description associated with the template code. The description entered in this field will display on application screens.

CODE 1 - CODE 21

Required. Indicates whether or not the field associated with this code (defined on Reference File category G85) will be included as a key field when processing this template. Note that you do not have to include any of the key fields. If you do not select any key fields, the template will not attempt to match specific order characteristics. Valid values are:

Y - Yes, include this field in the template structure. If yes, the field will display and be used as selection criteria in the Template Maintenance conversation.

N - No, do not include this field in the template structure. If no, this field will not be used in the Template Maintenance conversation.

Note: Fields 15 - 21 are line-level fields and cannot be used for header or volume discount templates. They can, however, be used for price list templates and line discount templates. If you select these fields on Reference File category G69 and they are not allowed for the specified template type, the system will display an error.
