The Part Validation Sequence category defines the part validation sequence code based on internal part, customer part, UPC code, and alternate part. The part is validated according to the sequence of these four fields.
SEQUENCE CODE
Required. Enter up to a four-character code that will be defined as the part validation code.

This screen is used to maintain the part validation sequence code. The sequence fields can be defined from 1 to 4 and cannot duplicate each other. At least one sequence number must be entered; all others are optional. If only one sequence number is entered, it must be a 1. All sequence fields are numbered in the order in which you want the part validated.
It is recommended that the internal part number be included in this sequence.
DESCRIPTION
Required. Enter up to a 20-character description for the part validation code.
SEQUENCE:
INTERNAL PART SEQUENCE
Optional. If entered, must be a number from 1 to 4 and cannot duplicate any of the other sequence numbers.
CUSTOMER PART
Optional. If entered, must be a number from 1 to 4 and cannot duplicate any of the other sequence numbers.
UPC CODE
Optional. If entered, must be a number from 1 to 4 and cannot duplicate any of the other sequence numbers.
ALTERNATE PART
Optional. If entered, must be a number from 1 to 4 and cannot duplicate any of the other sequence numbers.
