The Paper Schedule Periods category defines the format of paper summary schedules for each company/warehouse. You may specify 9 or 16 periods and the corresponding natures. (Nature refers to the type of period, that is, whether it is firm or forecast.)
If the Repetitive Supply module is installed, this is a required category to print paper schedules.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE CODE
Required. Enter the company/warehouse whose paper summary schedule you are defining. The company/warehouse must exist on the Warehouse Description File (IC170M).

The Detail screen maintains the paper summary schedule information for the company/warehouse that you defined on the Function Select screen.
PERIOD LENGTH
Required. A period defines a length of time used during the schedule processing. Releases will be accumulated according to due date into these periods. You may define either 9 or 16 period lengths. Valid period lengths are:
W - Weekly period
M - Monthly period
Because period lengths and natures (the next field) operate in conjunction with each other, and natures describe the planner's level of commitment towards an order, you should define all weekly period lengths before you define any monthly period lengths. That is, you should not intersperse weekly and monthly periods.
The following example of period lengths is acceptable: WWWWMMMMMMMM.
The following example of period lengths is NOT acceptable: WMWWWWMMMMMWMM.
NATURES
Required. You must define natures for every period length that you defined. Natures describe the planner's level of commitment towards an order. Valid values are:
0 - Immediate Release (Not handled by Repetitive Supply)
1 - Firmed - Delivery Request
2 - Planned - Manufacturing Authorization
3 - Planned - Supply Authorization
4 - Forecast - Trend
Note that you must not intersperse natures; they must be defined in logical order. For example, 111223344. Natures are validated against Reference File category G12, Nature of Delivery Request Release.
