The Next Journal Number category contains the number that will be used the next time the system assigns a journal number. The number is determined by combining the book code entered on the screen and the number contained on the data screen. Once defined, this number is maintained by the system. It may not be changed or deleted by the user.
COMPANY
Required. The company must exist on Reference File category 002 (Entity Name).
LOCATION
Required. The company/location combination to which this journal number will be assigned. The journal number on this record will only be used if the user has selected either the automatic or the automatic/manual combination journal numbering method on Reference File 132 (Location Defaults).
BOOK CODE
Required. The book code to be combined with the number on the data screen to form the next journal number. This field cannot be blank.
