MATERIAL USAGE REASON DESCRIPTION
Required. Text describing the material usage reason code.
MATERIAL USAGE REASON CODE TYPE
Required. The type of code for this material usage reason. Valid values are:
R- Regular
W- WIP Adjustment
If the reason type is "R," MAC-PAC makes a negative adjustment to the stock location specified on the Unplanned Usage Detail screen (JT170S02). Typically, a reason code with a type "R" is used to issue more material than was previously backflushed, deduct issued, or lot issued.
If the reason type is "W," MAC-PAC reduces the WIP JIT balance for the component and makes a positive inventory adjustment to the location specified on the Unplanned Usage Detail screen. A reason code of "W" is used when too much material was previously issued through deduct issues or lot issues. It must be removed from WIP and returned to inventory.
