This optional category can be used to manipulate the planning of parts through the Master Scheduling and Requirements Planning modules. By entering a planning window, a scheduler can temporarily alter the planning policy of certain parts being processed so as to allow detailed schedules in the near future and more general schedules further into the future.
PLANT
Required. Must be a valid plant defined on the Plant/Warehouse Description File.

RP WINDOW
Optional. This window represents the number of flow intervals processed by the Requirements Planning Generation after which a JIT manufactured part with a Planning Policy code of Partial will temporarily become a part with a Planning Policy code of Average. By doing this, a planner can receive the detailed supply schedule expected of a Partial policy up to the window and a smoother, more general schedule for flow intervals after the window. This field defaults to 000.
A planning window equal to zero will switch a part's Planning Policy code immediately, while a planning window equal to 104 will never switch a part's Planning Policy code.
ACCUMULATE SUPPLY INTO FIRST DAY (RP)
Optional. Once the RP Planning Window has passed, if Y (yes) is selected for this option, the entire supply schedule for a flow interval will be added to the middle of the interval instead of being smoothed over the entire flow interval. This will occur for both Partial and Average Planning Policy codes. This field defaults to N (no).
MS WINDOW
Optional. This window represents the number of weeks after the current week after which the Tentative Master Schedule Generation programs (batch and online) will place the entire Tentative Schedule for a period into the first week of the period. This will occur for all Master Scheduled parts, not just JIT manufactured parts.
A planning window equal to zero will start accumulating the Tentative Schedule immediately, whereas a planning window equal to 104 will never start accumulating the Tentative Schedule into the first week of the period. This field defaults to 000.
ACCUMULATE SUPPLY INTO FIRST DAY (MS)
For JIT manufactured parts only, once the MS Planning Window is passed, if Y (yes) is selected for this option, parts with a Planning Policy code equal to Average will be treated as if their Planning Policy code was equal to Partial. By doing this, all unfirmed supply for a week will be placed in the first unfirmed day of the week instead of being smoothed over the entire week. This field defaults to N (no).
PLANNED ORDERS DELETION
Required. This flag is used to determine whether planned manufacturing orders, purchase requisitions, and transfer requisitions within the firm horizon will be deleted when requirements planning is running in selective or net change mode, and the part’s net Change flags are set to reanalyze. Planned supply records are always deleted when a part's Net Change flag is set to replan, EXCEPT when the due dates of the planned orders are between the RP run date and the RP firm horizon date, and the Planned Orders Deletion (MO, PR, TR) flags are set to N (no). This is a useful feature if the user does not want planned orders or requisitions within the firm horizon. Planned Orders or requisitions within the firm horizon will be deleted and new planned orders or requisitions will be added after the firm horizon. This feature might increase requirements planning processing time when the flags are set to Yes, because all planned orders within the firm horizon will be deleted during a net change requirements planning run.
REPLAN PAST FLOW AUTHORIZATION
Required. This flag is used in conjunction with the requirements planning firm horizon feature when JIT manufactured parts are replanned. If you set the flag to Y (yes), and the projected available quantity on today's date (or the date requested for the requirements planning run) is negative, and no schedule exists on the same date, then requirements planning will replan a firmed status flow authorization (schedule) on today's date to bring the available quantity back to zero. This will happen even though a requirements planning firm horizon may be defined. If you set the flag to N (no), then requirements planning will place the flow authorization (schedule) on the first working day OUTSIDE the requirements planning firm horizon date, either in a planned or firmed status, depending on the value of the part master firmed date.
DISPLAY PLANNED ACTIVITY FLAG
Required. This flag determines if manufacturing orders, purchase requisitions, component requirements, and transfer requisitions with different statuses will be included in availability and activity calculations. Valid values are:
Y - Include firmed, open, and planned manufacturing orders; firmed, released, and planned purchase requisitions; open component requirements; and released and planned transfer requisitions.
R - Include firmed and open manufacturing orders; firmed and released purchase requisitions; open component requirements of open and firmed manufacturing orders; and released transfer requisitions.
N - Include firmed and open manufacturing orders, and open component requirements of open and firmed manufacturing orders.
JIT MASTER SCHEDULING REPLAN
Optional. This flag is used to determine whether JIT parts in the plant entered on the Function Select screen should be affected by the JIT Master Schedule Rollover program (MS185E). Valid values are:
Y - The JIT Master Schedule Rollover program will set the net change flag on the Part Master file to 2 (replan) causing all master scheduled JIT parts in the plant entered on the Function Select screen to be replanned.
N - The JIT Master Schedule Rollover program will not set the net change flag on the Part Master file to 2 (replan). All master scheduled JIT parts in the plant entered on the Function Select screen will not be replanned.
This flag does not affect MRP parts that are master scheduled and as such does not impact the Master Schedule Rollover program (MS180E).
