The Job Group Codes category contains valid job groups used in the system. Job group codes are used in the Job Control module to group jobs for reporting purposes, for cost generation by the Job Costing module, and for other job-related functions.
Purchase orders may be created for job groups to take advantage of volume discounts. Inventory may also be tracked by job group. Inventory for a job group can be used by any job in that group.
JOB GROUP CODE
Required. The code associated with a job group. This code may be entered in several job-related conversations to specify a set of jobs associated with the job group. (Jobs are tied to job groups through the Job Master Maintenance conversation in the Job Control module.)
