The Job Costing Parameters category contains system cost options used in the Job Costing module for determining how planned and actual costs are calculated. Refer to the Job Costing User Manual (Section 1) for detailed information about costing calculations.
This category has a blank key to allow only one record. It may not be changed or deleted.

PLANNED MATERIAL
Required. Indicates how planned material costs are calculated. Valid values are:
S - Use standard costs
P - Use purchase price
ACTUAL MATERIAL
Required. Indicates how actual material costs are calculated. Valid values are:
S - Use standard costs
P - Use purchase price
I - Use invoice price
If the invoice costing option is selected, then the Accounts Payable module must be installed.
ACTUAL LABOR
Required. Indicates how actual labor costs are calculated. Valid values are:
S - Use standard costs
E - Use employee labor rates
If the employee labor rate option is selected, then the Shop Floor module must be installed.
PLANNED MISCELLANEOUS
Required. Indicates how planned miscellaneous costs are calculated. Valid values are:
S - Use standard costs
P - Use purchase price
ACTUAL MISCELLANEOUS
Required. Indicates how actual miscellaneous costs are calculated. Valid values are:
S - Use standard costs
P - Use purchase price
