The Field Decimal Precision category defines the number of decimal positions that will be used for Order/Receipt Quantities and Inventory Balance/Movement Quantities. This record is created at installation time. Validation is performed when executing online programs to ensure the user does not enter more decimal positions than is specified by this category. This category is required by the system.
This category has a blank key to allow only one record.

This screen is used to define the field decimal precision of the system.
ORDER/RECEIPT QUANTITIES
Required. Used to define the number of decimal positions that will be used for order and receipt quantities. The number of positions specified here must be equal to the number specified for the inventory balance/movement quantities.
INVENTORY BALANCE/MOVEMENT QUANTITIES
Required. Used to define the number of decimal positions that will be used for inventory balance and movement quantities. The number of positions specified here must be equal to the number specified for the order/receipt quantities.
COST FIELDS
Required. Used to define the number of cost decimal positions that will be formatted in the Installation Program, IMF10E. The number of decimal positions can either be 5 or 7. This field is set up with an initial value of 7 but can be changed to 5 if cost fields are converted.
