The Extract Program Types Reference File category allows you to specify the description for an extraction program type code. The program type description appears on the Event Maintenance Detail screen.
EXTRACT PROGRAM TYPE CODE
Required. Enter the code of the program type to be defined. Program type codes are defined in Reference File category N05.

The Extract Program Types Detail screen allows you to define the description associated with each of the extract program type codes.
There are three possible extract program types: RPG (or CL) program, a query that outputs to a report, and a query that outputs to a file. The extract type code is associated with a specific program type in Reference File category N05. The description specified on this screen will appear on the Event Maintenance Detail screen.
