This category defines the format of EDI summary schedules for each company/warehouse. The EDI format is composed of period lengths and natures. (Nature refers to the type of period, that is, whether it is firm or forecast.)
If the Repetitive Supply module is installed, this is a required category to transmit EDI schedules.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE
Required. Enter the company/warehouse whose information you are defining. The company/warehouse must exist on the Warehouse Description File.

This screen maintains the EDI summary schedule period length and nature information for the company/warehouse that you entered on the Function Select screen.
PERIOD LENGTH
Required. A period defines a length of time used during the schedule processing. You must define at least one period length, although you may define a maximum of 32 period lengths. Valid period lengths are:
D - Daily
W - Weekly (PO releases are accumulated into weekly period lengths according to due date.)
Because period lengths and natures (the next field) work together, and natures describe the buyer's level of commitment towards an order, you should define daily period lengths before you define any weekly period lengths. That is, daily and weekly periods must not be interspersed.
The following example of period lengths is acceptable: DDDDWWWWWWW.
The following example of period lengths is NOT acceptable: DDWDDDWDDDDDDWD.
NATURES
Required. For every period length that you defined, you must define a corresponding nature. Natures describe the vendor's level of commitment towards an order. In the event of a firm horizon, however, natures are not considered. The firm horizon is determined by the part's total fixed leadtime. Valid values are:
0 - Immediate Release
1 - Firmed - Delivery Request (Firm)
2 - Planned - Manufacturing Authorization (Planned)
3 - Planned - Supply Authorization (Planned)
4 - Forecast - Trend (Forecast)
(The Repetitive Supply module does not handle the nature 0 - Immediate Release.)
Natures are validated against Reference File category G12.
