This Screen defines the type of credit processing to be performed, for the specific Credit Check type entered on the select screen.
CREDIT LIMIT
Optional. If a 'Y' is entered, the customer's total commitment will be compared to the credit limit. The total commitment equals A/R balance plus on-order balance or on-reserve amount, plus pending invoice balance, plus not due drafts, minus on-account amount. On-order or on-reserve amount is used depending on the option selected on Reference File category 029. The total commitment is then compared to the credit limit defined for the customer on the Customer Master File.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE.
Optional. If a 'Y' is entered, the customer's accounts receivable limit will be checked during credit checking. How accounts receivable limit checking is performed depends on which option is selected on the Customer Master File. If days are used, the customer's oldest unpaid invoice is aged. An exception condition occurs when the number of days this invoice is overdue exceeds the limit defined on the customer's Customer Master File record. If amount is used, the total overdue balance is compared to the amount limit on the customer's Customer Master File record.
ORDER LIMIT
Optional. If a 'Y' is entered, the bill-to customer's order limit is checked during credit checking. In order limit checking the total amount of the order is compared against the maximum amount on the Customer Master File.
CORPORATE CREDIT CHECKING
Optional. Determines whether credit limit and accounts receivable checking are performed at the corporate level or for the individual bill-to customer. If 'Y' is selected, and the Credit Limit field is also 'Y', the total commitment is summed for all subsidiary customers in the corporate structure. This total is then compared to the credit limit defined for the corporate customer. If 'Y' is selected and the Accounts Receivable field is also 'Y', the days or amount overdue for each subsidiary is compared to the limit defined for the corporate customer. If any subsidiary does not pass credit checking, the sales order will be placed on credit hold.
