The Category Maintenance category is used to define Reference File categories. Five records must be entered for each category before the category can be used in the system.
MAINTENANCE KEY
Required.
Positions 1-3 contain the category number being maintained. Positions 4-5 contain the maintenance record type. Valid entries are:
ST - Screen title.
CT - Coded title.
CE - Coded edit.
DT - Decoded title.
DE - Decoded edit.

This screen is designed to help those in need of further assistance when using Reference File Maintenance.
SCREEN TITLE
Required. The screen title declared for the reference file category indicated on the Function Select screen. This is the title of the screen displayed when performing maintenance or inquiry on a specific reference file category.
CATEGORY TITLE
Required. The category title declared for the reference file category indicated on the Function Select screen. This is the title of the reference file category as it is displayed in the list of the main Category Select screen.
