This category is used in Calendar File Maintenance to permit the system to have different production and purchasing calendars for the plants defined in the system. This is a required category if the Design Engineering module is installed.
Once the calendar code and its associated information are established here, different calendars for each code should be defined in Calendar File Maintenance in Design Engineering. As a last step, the calendar code (and thus its associated calendar) should be assigned to the appropriate company/warehouse in Plant/Warehouse Maintenance within Design Engineering.

SATURDAY DEFAULT WORK OPTION
Required. If set to Y (Yes), all Saturdays on all months in the Calendar File Maintenance conversation will de fault to a 'W' to denote them as eligible work days. If set to N (No), all Saturdays on all months will default to a '*' to denote them as non-working days. This parameter thus helps to establish start and end dates for manufacturing orders, flow schedules, and labor operation start and end dates within manufacturing orders.

Required. If set to Y (Yes), all Sundays on all months in the Calendar File Maintenance conversation will de fault to a 'W' to denote them as eligible work days. WEEK START DAY
Required. Enter the day of the week which will denote the beginning day of each work week on the calendar associated with this calendar code.
