This category is only used in VAT environment when ESL/SSD management is used. The Nature of Transaction Codes category contains all the authorized codes in the system. The nature of transaction code designates the code under which the SSD transaction is known by the customs office.

NATURE OF TRANSACTION CODE

Required. The two-character field is the unique code that identifies a transaction in the EC community when the ESL/SSD processing is used.

NATURE OF TRANSACTION DESCRIPTION

Optional. Enter the description associated to the nature of transaction code.
