The nature of a delivery request release specifies the level of the customer's commitment regarding an order. The ANSI Release Nature allows you to define the different natures of delivery request releases that will be processed in the Synchro module.
The delivery request nature is taken into account during the ANSI Acquisition program (GA208E) and is used to convert ANSI release natures into the ODETTE standard. At this time, only two types of ANSI natures are processed:
ANSI to ODETTE
'C' Confirmed
'1' Firm
'D' Planned
'2' Planned
All ANSI releases not converted are flagged with an asterisk.
Similar to the ODETTE standard, if you need to override quantity of firm release, you must set the Authorization to Modify Firm Demand flag to 'Yes' in Reference File category G31.
ANSI RELEASE NATURE CODE
Required. Enter the one-digit nature code you are defining.

DESCRIPTION
Required. Enter a complete description of the ANSI release nature.
ODETTE RELEASE NATURE CODE
Enter the ODETTE release nature code corresponding to ANSI. At this time, only two ANSI release nature codes can be converted to ODETTE ('C', confirmed and 'D', planned).
All other release codes are flagged with an asterisk, indicating that the ANSI nature code has no equivalence in ODETTE.
