Yield Factor

This is the percentage of the item you expect to lose producing a manufacturing or purchase order (MRP parts) or the production quantity on a flow authorization (JIT parts).  This field is used by the JT, MS, and RP modules to generate orders or flows with quantities large enough to account for expected end item scrap levels (as opposed to the scrapping of items at the component level, where the product structure scrap factor is used to inflate the quantity further for items scrapped due to inspection before the assembly or manufacturing process).
