Transfer Requisition Number

A unique number used to identify a transfer requisition throughout the system.  The number is stored on the requisition header record and is assigned when a requisition is created.  Reference File category D05 Transfer Control Defaults) determines if the number will be assigned by the user or by the system.  Three options are possible:

• Manual.  You must assign a number to a new requisition.
• Automatic.  The system will automatically retrieve the next available number from category D08 and assign it to the requisition.
• Both.  You may assign a requisition number.  If you do not specify a number, the system will assign the next available number.
