Start Date
Start Date
This field is found in a number of conversations in MAC-PAC. The following is a list of it’s possible meanings:
-
Must be a working day on the Shop Calendar. The start of the period for which load is to be summarized. The period mask will be applied from this date forward.
-
The date on which the production or purchasing process for an item is expected to begin. The work must begin on this date in order for the part to be available on the due date. The start date is calculated by subtracting the part's leadtime (as defined on the Part Master File) from the due date on the tentative schedule. If the item has any master scheduled components, the tentative schedule start date for the parent item is used as the demand date for the component items.
-
Indicates the date a line becomes effective. If you entered a default start date on the Function Select screen, it will transfer to each line's start date but can be manually overridden. If you leave this field blank, it will default to today making the line effective immediately. This line will be in effect until it becomes inactive. This can either be done manually via the deactivate maintenance option on the Function Select screen or automatically when another line on this price list (that is associated with the same part) becomes effective.
-
This is the date from which a component is effective for a bundle. If left blank the bundle start date will default into this field. If the component is an "A" relation, then the start date must equal the bundle start date.
-
The start date of an individual operation in the order. It must be a working day on the Calendar Date File. It cannot be added if the due date is added. If the due date is updated, it can only be blanked out.
