Shift Number

The Shop Floor Control module provides performance reporting by shifts.  Labor and machine hours, as well as material completed and scrapped, may be recorded by shift number.  The number of shifts per day should be defined on the manufacturing company/warehouse record for a given plant in Plant/Warehouse Description Maintenance program.  This number can then be used to ensure that time and material is not recorded against a non existent shift.  If you do not wish to record or report by shift number, the number of shifts should be defined as one.  Entry of shift number is not required if only one shift is used.
